Senior Administrator/Counter Salesperson

REQUIRED

Wallace Agri is looking for a Senior Administrator/Counter Salesperson to join our expanding team. This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will work five days per week, Monday to Saturday. Applicants must be over 18 years of age.

 

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Serving customers with efficiency and in a friendly manner, offering advice to customers in relation to the products they require, handling cash and issuing sales invoices and dealing with any queries they may have.
  • Purchasing, stock management and all associated administrative tasks.
  • Learn the functions and practices of the Sales Counter and become part of the team.
  • Support the Store Manager with the daily running of the store.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to provide expert advice and guidance to customers.
  • Proven retail experience in a busy Agri-merchant branch or similar an advantage
  • Ability to prioritise workload.
  • Must be able to take direction with a flexible approach to work.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Goods Inwards Manager

REQUIRED

Wallace’s SuperValu is seeking a Goods Inwards Manager to join our team in our Wellingtonbridge store. This is a full-time permanent position. The successful candidate will work five days per week, Monday to Friday, early morning starts are essential.

Main Purpose of the Job:

Ensure that the goods received to the store are effectively managed at the point of receipt. To maintain stock room, manage returns and ensure HACCP and Health & Safety standards are adhered to.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Check and record goods inwards against the delivery docket received.
  • Keep the back store area secure by controlling the movement of suppliers in the goods receiving area.
  • Ensure all HACCP best practices are implemented across the store.
  • Have a working knowledge of relevant legislation pertaining to the Store, in particular but not limited to Food Safety regulations, Health & Safety regulations, sale of alcohol and employment legislation.
  • Ensure the store complies with relevant legislation and implement procedures as required.
  • Submit all invoice/delivery documentation to the relevant person daily.
  • Maintain correct storage and documentation of returns.
  • Adhere to all store rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Deal with all transactions with customers and suppliers in a professional manner.
  • Always adhere to waste disposal procedures.

Relevant Skills/Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise duties.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, organised and flexible.
  • Ability to use own initiative and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven retail experience.
  • Forklift licence.
  • Previous stock management experience is desirable but not essential, as full on the job training will be provided.
