TRAINEE MANAGER

REQUIRED

5 DAYS A WEEK

Wallace’s SuperValu is looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team. This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will work five days per week on a roster basis.

Main purpose of the role:
Support the management team in all aspects of the operation of the store while gaining detailed experience in individual departments throughout the store.

The ideal candidate will have/be:
– 1 year of experience in the retail industry is desirable
– Excellent communication skills
– Excellent customer service
– Highly driven with a strong work ethic
– Passion for grocery retail
– Thrive in a fast-paced working environment

Main Duties:
– Actively live SuperValu brand-values i.e. Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative and Imaginative
– Set, monitor and achieve sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste and other KPIs as agreed with Store Manager
– Actively participate in all training and development initiatives, and performance assessments
– Merchandise and present the entire store to the highest standard at all times and in accordance with relevant store planograms and guidelines
– Implement planograms correctly and ensure the correct range is in place in store
– Gain competence with all aspects of supply procedures – ordering, delivery procedures, stock rotation and control procedures
– Manage such departments as are assigned to you
– Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working.

TRADE COUNTER SALES

REQUIRED

Wallace’s Homevalue Hardware and Building Providers are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our Trade Counter Sales team. This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will work five days per week on a roster basis. Applicants must be over 18 years of age.

Job Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Learn the functions and practices of the Trade Counter and become part of the team.
  • Have an understanding of building material products and current building regulations.
  • Key responsibilities will include serving customers with efficiency and in a positive manner, offering advice to customers in relation to the products they require, handling cash and issuing sales invoices and dealing with any queries they may have.

The ideal candidate must be willing to learn, be able to take direction, be able to work on their own initiative and must be able to work as part of a team. Experience for this role is essential.

This is a full-time position with the successful candidate working five days per week. This role will involve both office and road sales. Knowledge of building materials is essential.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain customer relations
  • Maximise sales opportunities and build new business.

The Candidate:

  • 2+ years experience in a similar role and knowledge of building materials is essential.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Highly motivated and target driven.
  • Excellent selling, communication and negotiations skills.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Full clean driving licence.

Wallace’s Homevalue Hardware and Building Providers are seeking to hire a Store Manager to manage the day-to-day running of all key functions of the Hardware, including trade, DIY hardware, yard & warehousing, deliveries.   • The management of staff and customer service.
  • Maintain high store standards.
  • Management of stock.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in relation to Stock, HR, Credit Control and Health & Safety.

The Candidate:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Knowledge of the Hardware industry is beneficial.
  • Experience managing people is essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
