Trainee Manager

REQUIRED

5 DAYS A WEEK

Wallace’s SuperValu is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic person with a passion for customer service to join our Management Team. This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will work five days per week on a roster basis.

 

Key Responsibilities are:

  • The Management of the day-to-day operations of the shop floor/store.
  • Managing all staff in the absence of senior Management.
  • Managing the performance of specific departments.
  • Train and develop your team within your department.
  • To ensure merchandising and presentation of the entire store is always of the highest standard.
  • Ensuring Customer Service in the entire store is the highest priority.
  • Ensuring promotions are implemented to the agreed plan and time.

The Candidate:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly motivated and personable.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your retailing skills and experience.

Experience supervising a section or managing staff would be an advantage, but not essential, as a full training programme is available to the successful candidate.

DELI SALES ASSISTANT

REQUIRED

Wallace’s SuperValu is looking for a Deli Sales Assistant to join our busy team. The successful candidate will work three to four days a week, Monday to Sunday, on a roster basis, including early mornings and evenings and must be able to work flexible hours.

The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, self-motivated, able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team, have a passion for food and have the ability to inspire shoppers. Previous experience working in a similar role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be given.

  • Learn the functions and practices of the Plumbing Counter and become part of the team.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Serve customers with efficiency and in a positive manner, offering advice to customers in relation to the products they require, handling cash and issuing sales invoices and dealing with any queries they may have.

The ideal candidate must be willing to learn, be able to take direction, be able to work on their own initiative and must be able to work as part of a team. An understanding of plumbing products and current regulations is an advantage, but full training will be given.
